Luke 19:46-48

⁴⁶saying to them, “It is written,

‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’
but you have made it a den of thieves.”

⁴⁷Every day he was teaching in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people plotted to kill him. ⁴⁸However, they were unable to do so because all the people hung on his every word.
